Short answer: Fikrago Kids is a free, browser-based learning playground for children ages 2โ8, made by Fikrago. It offers seven interactive learning worlds โ alphabet, spelling, reading, math, vocabulary, stories and creativity โ all with spoken instructions, gentle feedback and no sign-up. Progress is saved only on your own device.
Fikrago Kids started with a simple frustration: most "educational" apps for young children are either engagement machines wrapped around ads, or locked behind accounts that collect a child's data before a single letter is learned. We wanted the opposite โ a place that opens like a picture book, speaks like a kind teacher, and keeps nothing. Here is what is inside, honestly.
The seven learning worlds
- 1[Alphabet Adventure](/alphabet) โ every letter AโZ with its name, phonics sound and a word, plus finger-tracing, uppercase/lowercase matching and listen-and-find challenges.
- 2[Word Builder](/word-builder) โ pictures and spoken words, letter tiles tapped into order, three difficulty levels and hints that whisper rather than scold.
- 3[Reading Adventure](/reading) โ sight words, sentence building from word tiles, and read-aloud sentences with word-by-word highlighting.
- 4[Math & Numbers](/math) โ counting boards from 1 to 100 that unlock gradually, count-the-objects challenges, picture-based addition and subtraction, shapes, patterns and comparisons.
- 5[Colors & Animals](/colors-animals) โ first vocabulary: colors, twelve animals with sounds, food, vehicles, household objects, nature, plus memory pairs and sorting games.
- 6[Stories & Listening](/stories) โ five original illustrated stories read aloud with glowing words, play/pause/replay controls, optional music and a tiny comprehension quiz.
- 7[Creative Studio](/creative) โ a drawing board with stamps and letter templates, shape-building puzzles, and the sticker book where every earned milestone is collected.
Design principles we hold ourselves to
- No login, ever (for now). Open the site and play. Nothing to register, nothing to forget.
- Local-only progress. Stars, letters learned and stickers are stored in your browser on your device. We run no analytics on children and serve no ads.
- Audio-first. Every instruction can be spoken and replayed, so children who cannot read yet can play fully independently.
- Gentle by design. Wrong answers get a soft sound and a hint โ never timers, penalties or shame.
- Original everything. Characters, stories and illustrations are drawn and written for this platform; nothing is copied from other brands.
- Parent-visible. The Parent Dashboard shows what was practiced, for how long, and lets you reset everything โ no account required.
What children actually practice
Under the confetti, Fikrago Kids drills a coherent early-learning sequence: letter names and sounds โ letter formation (tracing) โ spelling simple words โ high-frequency sight words โ sentence reading with comprehension checks โ counting and number sense โ early arithmetic intuition โ category vocabulary โ listening comprehension through stories. Each game feeds the next, which is why the sticker book milestones are tied to real skills rather than random rewards.
Languages: honest about what works today
The interface currently supports English fully, with French and Arabic available in the interface menus where translation is genuinely ready โ and clearly labeled as partial, because the learning activities themselves are narrated in English for now. Arabic switches the layout to right-to-left automatically. We would rather ship three honest labels than three pretend-complete languages; full French and Arabic narration is on the roadmap as quality translations and audio are prepared.
How it is funded, and how to help
Fikrago Kids is free and has no ads. It is built and maintained by Ayoub Zinani under the Fikrago brand, with hosting and development costs covered personally. If it is useful to your family, the Support page explains how to help โ every contribution goes into more stories, more languages and better games.
